Content policy

The rules say what. This says why, and where the edges are.

Allowed, and encouraged

  • Personal experience, described as personal experience.
  • Independent test results, good and bad, with vendor, batch, service and method.
  • Certificates of analysis, in full, with your own identifying details redacted and the vendor's batch details intact.
  • Arithmetic, tables, chromatograms and logger traces. This site runs on them.
  • Trial citations with journal and year, and disagreements about what a trial actually showed.
  • Failure reports. c/darkspot exists precisely for these and they are among the most valuable posts here.

Removed

  • Dose recommendations for individuals. The most common removal by a wide margin.
  • Usage instructions for research-use-only compounds. Describing what you did is fine; writing a protocol for a stranger is not.
  • Referral links, discount codes, affiliate URLs. Permanent ban.
  • Contact handles, wallet addresses, tracking numbers. Safety, not tidiness.
  • Unevidenced accusations. Not because we doubt you — because an accusation nobody can check makes the whole archive less useful, and we have had to retract things.
  • Doxxing. Company registration details are public record and fair game. Individuals are not.
  • Advice to misrepresent a diagnosis to an insurer or prescriber. That is fraud and it gets you banned.
  • Images in c/progresspics. That community is text-only by design — it removes the comparison trap, the body-shaming pile-on, and the entire question of who owns a photograph of your torso.

The urgent-care carve-out

Threads describing severe or escalating abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, jaundice or sudden vision changes get a distinguished moderator comment pointing at real medical help, and speculation about the specific case is shut down. The thread usually stays up because the general information is useful. This policy exists because of a small number of posts that should have been an emergency-room visit.

Corrections

When something turns out to be wrong we annotate it rather than delete it. Vendor verification logs keep the accusations that did not hold up, marked as such. A record you can edit silently is not a record, and how a vendor responds to being wrongly accused is genuinely informative.

Reporting

Use the report control in a comment, or modmail for anything that needs a human and a paragraph. Personal-information removal requests go through removal and DMCA and are handled quickly.
