Rules
Six site rules, plus whatever each community adds on top. They are short because rules nobody reads do not work.
last revised 9 Jul 2026
The six
- Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
- Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
- Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
- No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
- No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
- Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.
What each one is actually for
1. Independent community
The moment a community can be bought, everything on it becomes unreliable retroactively — including the parts that were honest. Anybody selling anything here is removed, and undisclosed vendor accounts are banned on sight. Vendor staff are welcome to participate if they say who they are in the comment where it matters.
2. Not medical advice
The practical version: describe what you did, never prescribe to a stranger. "I went up at six weeks and it was fine" is a data point. "You should go up at six weeks" is removed. This is the most-enforced rule on the site and the one people find most annoying, and it is not negotiable.
Several compounds discussed here are sold for research use only and are not approved for human use anywhere. Posts must not read as usage instructions for those.
3. Claims need evidence
Standards vary sensibly by community. c/coa wants the whole document, uncropped. c/labresults wants vendor, product, batch, service, method and result. c/scamalerts will not publish an accusation without documentary evidence. c/newbiequestions asks for nothing at all, on purpose.
Speculation is fine everywhere as long as it is flaired as speculation. What is not fine is asserting something with the confidence of a finding and no way to check it, because that is the raw material of every piece of folklore this site has spent three years unpicking.
4. No referral links
No affiliate URLs, no discount codes, no "use my link". Permanent ban, no appeal, and this has been the policy since 2023. It is the single easiest way to turn a community into an advertising channel and it is the one rule with no grey area at all.
5. No contact handles, wallets or tracking numbers
Messaging handles, wallet addresses and tracking numbers all identify real people, sometimes both ends of a shipment. They are removed on sight, without it being a warning. This is a safety rule, not a tidiness rule.
6. Be recognisably decent
Argue as hard as you like about a number. c/darkspot exists so people can post their mistakes, and "told you so" replies are removed there without discussion — if you make honesty expensive, you stop getting it, and then everyone is worse informed.
How moderation works
Volunteers, publicly, with reasons. Removals leave a visible stub rather than a hole, distinguished moderator comments render in green so you can tell an official statement from an opinion, and locked threads stay up when the content above the argument is worth keeping.
Things we do not do: shadow-remove, edit posts silently, or remove something because it is unflattering to a vendor or to us.
Appeals
Modmail first, always. c/meta is for policy — rule wording, ranking behaviour, whether a standard is too strict — and not for individual cases. Rule-change proposals need a concrete wording suggestion; "the c/vendorvetting rules are too strict" without an alternative gets a polite pointer back to this page.
For the record, that particular complaint arrives about once a month and has never once survived the thread.
