[PSA] Canada is not what most of this community thinks it is

Question The Quiet One ×7

Quick one. Canada here.

private plan works very differently where I live than in the threads that dominate the front page, and I keep seeing people confidently given advice that simply does not apply outside the US.

Specifics: the route I used took 20 weeks and cost roughly what I expected. The admin was worse than the cost. The thing that would have saved me the most time was knowing which document to ask for at the start.

Happy to answer questions from anyone in the same jurisdiction.

Rodent data is rodent data. Dose scaling is not linear and the models tell you what to investigate, not what to expect.

Titration speed is a side-effect dial far more than an efficacy dial.

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.

Strongly agree. Provincial variation is real.

What are you comparing it against though?

Canadian access: provincial formulary differences, private plan coverage, the special-authorisation process, cross-border pricing arbitrage and why the Ontario answer is not the Alberta answer.
