reading NHS threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly

Discussion

Quick one. Canada here.

MHRA works very differently where I live than in the threads that dominate the front page, and I keep seeing people confidently given advice that simply does not apply outside the US.

Specifics: the route I used took 16 weeks and cost roughly what I expected. The admin was worse than the cost. The thing that would have saved me the most time was knowing which document to ask for at the start.

Happy to answer questions from anyone in the same jurisdiction.

Inter-lab variance on this kind of assay is routinely 1–2 points. Different column, different gradient, different integration.

Disagree on that part. 99.2% and 99.2% on the same vial is normal.

Small correction: the trial was 2 weeks, not 25. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 70 weeks to accept.

Small correction: the trial was 15 weeks, not 31. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

  1. No naming online pharmacies that prescribe without a consultation.
  2. Price posts need the date — UK private pricing moves monthly.
  3. NHS pathway questions: say which nation. England, Scotland, Wales and NI differ.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  8. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  9. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.
