unpopular opinion: cold chain is massively overrated

PSA Well Actually ×9 Sourced ×1

I have had 10 orders now and I keep a table, so here is the honest summary rather than a vibe.

Material has been consistent. Communication has not. Shipping has varied by about 20 days on nominally the same lane, which matters more in summer than in February.

The independent number came back 99.0% against a claimed 99.1%, which I read as agreement rather than a discrepancy — inter-lab variance on this assay is a point or two either way and treating one lab as ground truth is how people end up in pointless arguments with vendors.

Batch number is in the comments. Ask if you want the method.

data logger is the standard, gut feeling is not

excursion claims need a logger trace or a photo at unboxing, not "it felt warm"

Small correction: the trial was 22 weeks, not 17. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

gel packs last 18 hours, after that you are relying on the box itself

No. This is the kind of confident post that gets copied into a screenshot and repeated for years. Where is the evidence.

Flair changed to match the content. Read the sidebar before posting next time and we are square.

Yeah, data logger is the only acceptable proof.

no tracking numbers, no full addresses, no label photos — instant removal

Water content matters more than people think. If a vial is carrying residual moisture, your "10mg" is not 10mg of peptide.

Spain to Spain: 15 days with TFC and 23 days with SGN. Same route, different carriers, variance is real.

About c/coldchain

Temperature and stability in the real world: what an excursion actually costs you, why lyophilised powder is far more forgiving than reconstituted solution, how to read a logger CSV, and how to photograph a failed shipment so the conversation with the vendor is short.

c/coldchain rules
  1. Excursion claims need a logger trace or a photo taken at unboxing. "It felt warm" is not data.
  2. No tracking numbers, ever. They identify you and the recipient.
  3. Stability claims need a source or an explicit "this is my guess" label.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  8. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  9. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.
