[PSA] DEXA is not what most of this community thinks it is
Something I noticed reading old threads that I have not seen said out loud.
The advice on DEXA in this community changed substantially around the start of last year, and nobody went back and updated the older posts. So depending on which thread the search engine hands you, you get two contradictory answers with the same confidence.
I have listed what I think the current consensus is below. Correct me — that is the point of posting it.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.
DEXA twice yearly is the pattern
Came off after 37 weeks for financial reasons. Regained about a third over the following year. Back on now at a much lower dose.
Which country? Half the answers in this thread only apply in Denmark.
The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.
FFMI tracking requires body composition
Inter-lab variance on this kind of assay is routinely 1–2 points. Different column, different gradient, different integration.
sarcopenia is the unsolved question
You have restated the marketing copy. What is the actual substance here.
Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.

The muscle cramps was genuinely awful for three weeks and then simply stopped. I know that is not useful information, but it is what happened.
