comment on switched from 2.5mg to 10mg and the early fullness got better, not worse in c/retatrutide · 292 points · 1 year ago

Yeah, phase 2 retatrutide is interesting but it is not comparable to phase 3 compounds.

comment on [PSA] heart rate is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/sideeffects · 125 points · 1 year ago

Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 4–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.

the regain is treatment of chronic condition ending, not failure

My sulphur burps was worst at 10mg and better at 7.5mg, which makes no sense but it is real.

Rodent data is rodent data. Dose scaling is not linear and the models tell you what to investigate, not what to expect.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify purity in c/hplc · 92 points · 1 year ago

Strongly agree. Largest single impurity tells a different story than total purity.

say how long you were on and at what dose before taper

Adding to this: tapering is doing more work than the comment implies.

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about gradient in c/hplc · 363 points · 1 year ago

Strongly agree.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

Small correction: the trial was 5 weeks, not 34. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

permalink

comment on 14 months in and jurisdiction is still the thing I get wrong in c/customs · 1 points · 2 years ago

Small correction: the trial was 17 weeks, not 4. Does not change your point but people will quote it.
