10 months in and insulin resistance is still the thing I get wrong

Fertility Well Actually ×7

contraception. That is the whole post, but I will justify it.

Everything else people worry about in c/semaglutide is downstream of it. Titration speed, early fullness, the endless dose arguments — most of it resolves if you sort contraception out first, and almost nobody does.

I say this having got it wrong for 24 months. My A1c was the thing that eventually made me pay attention, which is a stupid way to learn a lesson that was in the sidebar the whole time.

Strongly agree. Cycle changes are documented.

cycle changes are real and under-researched

The thing nobody prepared me for was the quiet. Not the appetite, the quiet. The constant negotiation in my head about food just stopped.

the cycle tracking data matters, keep it private

Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.

the fertility question is under-powered in trials

This is correct. PCOS is real.

Stalled for 2 weeks, changed nothing, and it started moving again on week 25.

contraception interaction claims need citation

Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with PCOS, not with what you concluded.

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.

Sweden here. Waited 23 months on a list, gave up, went private, and the total cost was roughly what I expected.

the trials mostly studied men, insulin resistance skipped

Adding to this: PCOS is doing more work than the comment implies.

PCOS and insulin resistance

That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.

About c/glp1women

The questions the trials under-powered: PCOS and insulin resistance, cycle changes, fertility signal and contraception interactions, perimenopause and menopause weight physiology, and the fact that the pregnancy answer is always "not while trying, talk to your clinician".
