cycle vs insulin resistance — genuinely asking which matters more

Discussion

Been lurking in c/labresults for about 19 months and finally have something worth posting.

Short version: week 34, 1.0mg, and fertility is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 11 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.

What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 40.

the insulin resistance question is under-powered in trials

Week 92 for me and the honest summary is: 30kg down, nausea manageable, and I have thought about food maybe four times today.

About c/glp1women

The questions the trials under-powered: PCOS and insulin resistance, cycle changes, fertility signal and contraception interactions, perimenopause and menopause weight physiology, and the fact that the pregnancy answer is always "not while trying, talk to your clinician".

  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
