[Meta] the progress rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining

Discussion Cold Box ×7 Well Actually ×2

Been lurking in c/orforglipron for about 20 months and finally have something worth posting.

Short version: week 82, 12.5mg, and milestone is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 21 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.

What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 88.

the struggle change matters as much as the scale

Has anyone actually got this in writing, or is it forum lore at this point?

I am going to push back on this slightly.

Came off after 86 weeks for financial reasons. Regained about a third over the following year. Back on now at a much lower dose.

Strongly agree. NSV counts.

Crossposting this to c/orforglipron because the people who need it are not reading this community.

Yeah, text-only removes the comparison.

Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with progress, not with what you concluded.

Mechanistically the bit that matters is milestone. It explains most of the early profile and a decent chunk of the outcome.

Not convinced. The evidence does not support that reading.

Stalled for 15 weeks, changed nothing, and it started moving again on week 63.

Small correction: the trial was 11 weeks, not 17. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

Not convinced.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

About c/progresspics

Progress posts with no images, by design. Starting point, current point, timeframe, dose history, what changed besides the scale. Text-only removes the comparison trap, the body-shaming pile-on and the entire question of who owns a photo of your torso.
