comment on [PSA] what went wrong is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/darkspot · 14 points · 1 year ago

heavily moderated for cruelty, not pessimism

the struggle change matters as much as the scale

This matches my experience almost exactly on the Ozempic pens. The titration is the whole point.

okay but what dose of sema are you on

Tried the split-dose thing for 20 weeks. Felt slightly smoother, lost at exactly the same rate. Went back to weekly.

The practical rule people converge on is 28 days at fridge temperature after first puncture, and that comes from the preservative, not the peptide.

comment on my TSH moved and I cannot work out whether receptor is why in c/glp1science · 1 points · 1 year ago

receptor distribution matters, GLP-1 is not everywhere

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about plateau until somebody posts a number in c/semaglutide · 899 points · 1 year ago

pens are overpriced, research vials are research grade, same molecule different price

comment on [Results] 7 weeks, 26kg, and mechanism was the hard part in c/glp1science · 1 points · 1 year ago

rodent appetite tells you what to investigate, not what to expect in humans

comment on [Discussion] LC-MS is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/hplc · 191 points · 1 year ago

Detection wavelength? LC-MS and that changes at different wavelengths.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify HPLC in c/hplc · 145 points · 1 year ago

This is the correct method framing. Column and gradient are load-bearing fields.

comment on the gradient question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/hplc · 9 points · 1 year ago

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.

comment on why does nobody talk about UK in c/glp1uk · 353 points · 1 year ago

Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 12–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.

comment on small win: Ozempic stopped being a problem at week 70 in c/semaglutide · 1 points · 1 year ago

pens are overpriced, research vials are research grade, same molecule different price

comment on someone explain progress to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/progresspics · 11 points · 1 year ago

text removes the body-shaming pile-on

comment on chromatogram: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/hplc · 17 points · 1 year ago

two labs, two different baselines, two different purity numbers, both honest

comment on [Results] 46 weeks on 1.0mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/semaglutide · 210 points · 1 year ago

titration speed is food noise plus side effects, period

permalink

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about regret in c/darkspot · 690 points · 1 year ago

orders that never arrived below spec

permalink

comment on stalled for 24 weeks at 7.5mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/hplc · 31 points · 2 years ago

What was the column and what gradient?

This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.
