swirl, do not shake, or you are courting oxidation

I love that this community will spend 40 comments on a detail. That pedantry is why the numbers here matter.

Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 11–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.

Small correction: the trial was 12 weeks, not 16. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

what is titration — it means going slow on the escalation

the concentration on the vial in marker is the most important step

comment on [Meta] the appeal rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/insurancefights · 8 points · 2 years ago

Slight fix: the number was 99.0, not 98.9. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

This is correct. Appeal letters work.

external review is the appeal after insurance says no

Not convinced. The evidence does not support that reading.

No. This is the kind of confident post that gets copied into a screenshot and repeated for years. Where is the evidence.

Denied for prior auth, resubmitted with external review documentation, approved on appeal. The criteria exist, you just have to meet them.

comment on week 41 check-in — 32kg down, nausea manageable, one thing confusing me in c/insurancefights · 30 points · 2 years ago

Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 14–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.

comment on small win: units stopped being a problem at week 16 in c/reconstitution · 38 points · 2 years ago

5mg vial, 2mL water, concentration is 5/2 — write it on the vial afterwards

Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about units until somebody posts a number in c/reconstitution · 11 points · 2 years ago

Cosigning. The concentration on the vial in marker is load-bearing.
