Your TSH is probably fine. Get it checked anyway if you are symptomatic.

the GIP side does different things than the GLP-1 side, that is the point

comment on batch vs test results — genuinely asking which matters more in c/labresults · 149 points · 5 months ago

Not to be pedantic but batch and Medutest are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

Ferritin tanked from 20 to 12. Small appetite, reduced iron intake, nobody was testing it until I asked.

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.

Strongly agree. ALT is where you catch the liver story early.

comment on [Results] 22 weeks, 16kg, and goal was the hard part in c/progresspics · 44 points · 7 months ago

Came off after 91 weeks for financial reasons.

Disagree on that part. 99.2% and 99.3% on the same vial is normal.

Same lab both times?

comment on someone explain non-scale victory to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/progresspics · -15 points · 7 months ago

text removes the comparison trap

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

Strongly agree. NSV counts.

You have restated the marketing copy. What is the actual substance here.

sample of one, say so

comment on why does nobody talk about SURPASS in c/tirzepatide · 323 points · 11 months ago

the 15mg is the top of the pen, not the required dose

This is correct. ApoB is the better marker.

Respectfully this is a sample of one presented as a finding.

My fasting insulin went from 14 to 37 in 44 weeks. The eGFR story shows up in the trend, not the single number.
