help me understand reship, I have read the wiki twice

Delay Clean Column ×7 Receipts ×3 Slow Clap ×2

Trying to settle this properly because the thread from last year went in circles.

The claim: reship matters. The counter-claim: it is measurement error. Both sides have been asserting it confidently for about 2 months without either producing anything.

What would actually settle it is 31 people measuring the same thing the same way. I have started; my numbers are below. They lean one way but not strongly enough for me to declare victory.

If you have data, post the data. If you have an opinion, flair it as an opinion.

The JEEP lane used to be 6 days, now averaging 33. Carrier change or route congestion, unclear.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

Customs held the package for 24 days. No problems, just time. Factor it into expectations.

Inter-lab variance on this kind of assay is routinely 1–2 points. Different column, different gradient, different integration.

transit time variance is the story, not the average

customs clearance often adds 22 days, factor that in

This is correct. Variance is the story.

Strongly agree. Customs adds unpredictable delay.

Crossposting this to c/glp1aus because the people who need it are not reading this community.

About c/intlshipping

Shipping-lane intelligence: origin to destination, carrier, quoted versus actual transit, packaging quality and reship outcomes. The community lane table lives here. Tracking numbers are removed on sight because they identify both ends of the shipment.
