[Results] 72 weeks, 31kg, and Wegovy was the hard part
Long-ish post, sorry. tl;dr at the bottom.
I have been tracking semaglutide against triglycerides for 13 weeks because I could not find anyone who had. The correlation is weaker than I expected, which is itself mildly interesting given how confidently people link the two in here.
Caveats up front: one person, one lab, one assay, no control, and I changed my training in the middle of it, which was stupid.
tl;dr: probably real, definitely smaller than the threads imply, and not worth reorganising your week around.
best — the order this archive was captured in
Water content matters more than people think. If a vial is carrying residual moisture, your "10mg" is not 10mg of peptide.
Titration speed is a side-effect dial far more than an efficacy dial.
Yeah, 42 weeks on 1.7mg, same pattern, same timing.
Sweden here. Waited 16 months on an NHS list, gave up, went private, and the cost was half what I expected but the admin was worse.
How long were you at 2.5mg before you moved up?
How long were you at 2.5mg before you moved up?
Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 14 weeks to accept.
Small correction: the trial was 11 weeks, not 16. Does not change your point but people will quote it.
titration speed is titration plus side effects, period
Strongly agree. If it is not working at 2.4mg after 52 weeks, going up is not automatically the answer.
The thing nobody prepared me for was that the appetite does not come back for a long time after you stop.
week 27 and i am still not at maintenance, do not rush the ladder
Is that purity or net peptide content? They are not the same number.
Lost 40kg and gained a genuinely irritating amount of interest in analytical chemistry. This site did that to me.
week 30 on the pen, 23kg down, this is the answer
week 24 and i am still not at maintenance, do not rush the ladder
Did you time the injection consistently each week or was it more ad hoc?
week 37 and i am still not at maintenance, do not rush the ladder
How long were you at 10mg before you moved up?
Not to be pedantic but 2.4mg and food noise are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.
Right, and the corollary is that stopping escalation does not reset your tolerance, it just pauses the clock.
week 26 on the pen, 9kg down, this is the answer
okay but what dose of sema are you on
titration speed is weekly dosing plus side effects, period
Right, and the corollary is that stopping escalation does not reset your tolerance, it just pauses the clock.
Week 70 for me and the honest summary is: 14kg down, nausea manageable, and the quiet happened around week 16.
This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.
Hard agree. Week 83 me needed this. Week 34 me is nodding smugly.
the quiet is real. the food noise just stops.
Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.
