small win: Ozempic stopped being a problem at week 20

Side Effects Clean Column ×7 The Quiet One ×3 Receipts ×2

Something I noticed reading old threads that I have not seen said out loud.

The advice on weekly dosing in this community changed substantially around the start of last year, and nobody went back and updated the older posts. So depending on which thread the search engine hands you, you get two contradictory answers with the same confidence.

I have listed what I think the current consensus is below. Correct me — that is the point of posting it.

Right, and the corollary is that stopping escalation does not reset your tolerance, it just pauses the clock.

How long were you at 2.5mg before you moved up?

replysharereportpermalink
u/two_mil_or_oneOP1 point·2 years ago

I did the fast version. 12.5mg to 15mg in 17 weeks. Spent a weekend learning why the schedule exists.

Kept a public log for 84 weeks. The comments are what kept it going, honestly. Accountability from strangers works.

I did the fast version.

Disagree on that part. 97.4% and 96.2% on the same vial is normal.

nope, 0.25 counts, it is just not the dose most people stay on

u/enzo_danquah-4 points·2 years ago

Yeah, 71 weeks on 12.5mg, same pattern, same timing.

Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.

This is what I tell everyone in c/newbiequestions and they never believe me until week 27.

Is that purity or net peptide content? They are not the same number.

That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.

Hard agree. Week 19 me needed this. Week 68 me is nodding smugly.

Cosigning. The slow route gets the outcome, the fast route gets you the side effects.

Strongly agree. If it is not working at 5mg after 68 weeks, going up is not automatically the answer.

replysharereportpermalink
u/hugo_bergstrom230 points·2 years ago

Yeah, 28 weeks on 12.5mg, same pattern, same timing.

Adding to this: semaglutide is doing more work than the comment implies.

Crossposting this to c/labresults because the people who need it are not reading this community.
