unpopular opinion: cycle is massively overrated

Fertility Slow Clap ×5

Genuinely asking, not being difficult.

Everyone in c/orforglipron repeats that insulin resistance is important. I believe it, but I have never seen anyone show why, and when I search I get 22 threads of people agreeing with each other.

Is there a paper? Is there a measurement? Or is this one of those things that is true because it has been repeated since 2023?

I am not trying to be the "source?" guy. I would just like a source.

The practical rule people converge on is 28 days at fridge temperature after first puncture, and that comes from the preservative, not the peptide.

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.

Did anything else change in the same window?

Second this question. I have wondered about cycle for 23 months and never seen a straight answer.

This is correct. PCOS is real.

PCOS and insulin resistance

Disagree on that part. 98.7% and 99.0% on the same vial is normal.

My version of this: I was so worried about the injection that I put it off for eleven days. The injection is the easiest part.

the cycle question is under-powered in trials

Yeah, insulin resistance is under-researched.

Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.

About c/glp1women

The questions the trials under-powered: PCOS and insulin resistance, cycle changes, fertility signal and contraception interactions, perimenopause and menopause weight physiology, and the fact that the pregnancy answer is always "not while trying, talk to your clinician".
