[PCOS] my androgens moved before my weight did

PCOS Receipts ×7

Genuinely asking, not being difficult.

Everyone in c/darkspot repeats that insulin resistance is important. I believe it, but I have never seen anyone show why, and when I search I get 8 threads of people agreeing with each other.

Is there a paper? Is there a measurement? Or is this one of those things that is true because it has been repeated since 2023?

I am not trying to be the "source?" guy. I would just like a source.

Not convinced. The evidence does not support that reading.

No. This is the kind of confident post that gets copied into a screenshot and repeated for years. Where is the evidence.

Strongly agree. Cycle changes are documented.

Yeah, insulin resistance is under-researched.

Stalled for 17 weeks, changed nothing, and it started moving again on week 71.

Three years on this site and the questions have not changed at all. Which is depressing or reassuring depending on the day.

About c/glp1women

The questions the trials under-powered: PCOS and insulin resistance, cycle changes, fertility signal and contraception interactions, perimenopause and menopause weight physiology, and the fact that the pregnancy answer is always "not while trying, talk to your clinician".
