goal weight: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1
Been lurking in c/retatrutide for about 17 months and finally have something worth posting.
Short version: week 8, 0.25mg, and lowest effective dose is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 23 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.
What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 14.
best — the order this archive was captured in
Tried the lowest-effective approach. 2.5mg worked for 5 weeks, then cravings returned. 1.0mg was the actual floor.
I am going to push back on this slightly.
the 15mg dose works fine for 3 weeks of the month
Regain on a taper is expected. 23% back over 13 weeks, which matches the discontinuation data. Planned for it.
regain after taper is expected, plan for it
the plateau is where the learning happens
the plateau is where the learning happens
Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.
nobody posts about this part and it is the longest part
Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with long term, not with what you concluded.
lowest effective dose is lowest effective dose, find it or stay higher
regain after taper is expected, plan for it
state how long you have been at maintenance, week 10 is not maintenance
dose-stretching experiences welcome, dose-stretching instructions are not
Respectfully this is a sample of one presented as a finding.
the 5mg dose works fine for 32 weeks of the month
food noise returns but not always immediately
the plateau is where the learning happens
