the bacteriostatic water question that gets asked weekly, answered properly

Posting this because I searched for it and got nothing useful.

Setup: 0.25mg, week 32, sulphur burps present but not ruining anything. I changed exactly one variable — concentration — and tracked it for 9 weeks.

Result: a difference, but a small one, and well inside what I would call noise if someone else posted it. So I am putting it here rather than presenting it as a finding. If two or three other people have done the same thing we might actually learn something.

Not medical advice, obviously. This is one person with a spreadsheet.

Water content matters more than people think. If a vial is carrying residual moisture, your "10mg" is not 10mg of peptide.

Slight fix: the number was 98.7, not 97.6. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.

The single most useful thing I did was write the concentration on the vial. Stopped all the confusion after that.

Spent 14 weeks confused about concentration math until someone showed me the table. 20mg, 3mL, concentration is 20/3.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

This is correct. 2mL versus 13mL is the common mistake.

Not to be pedantic but mg/mL and bacteriostatic water are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

Are you using a u-100 or u-40 syringe? That changes everything.
