[Side Effects] the sulphur burps are real and they do pass

Side Effects Clean Column ×4 The Quiet One ×3

Confession thread, sort of.

I went from 0.25mg to 10mg much faster than I should have because the scale had stalled and I got impatient. The stall broke about 11 weeks later, at which point I had no way of knowing whether the dose increase did anything or whether it would have broken anyway.

So now I have sulphur burps I did not need and a data point I cannot interpret. Two lessons in one.

Posting it in the hope that somebody at week 41 reads it before doing the same thing.

nope. mine was the opposite.

This matches my experience almost exactly on the Ozempic pens. The titration is the whole point.

You have restated the marketing copy. What is the actual substance here.

stalled at 0.5mg, went up, and regretted it, the stall would have broken anyway

Tried the split-dose thing for 17 weeks. Felt slightly smoother, lost at exactly the same rate. Went back to weekly.

the 2.4mg dose is not the target, it is just what the pen goes up to

Went up because the scale stalled, not because I needed to. Do not be me. The stall broke on its own at the higher dose.

Went up because the scale stalled, not because I needed to.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

Not convinced. The evidence does not support that reading.

This is what I tell everyone in c/newbiequestions and they never believe me until week 52.

Yeah, 9 weeks on 0.5mg, same pattern, same timing.

Stalled at 15mg, changed nothing, and it started moving again on week 85. Very nearly went up. Glad I did not.

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 79 weeks to accept.

Rodent data is rodent data. Dose scaling is not linear and the models tell you what to investigate, not what to expect.

Ozempic versus Wegovy versus research grade is the wrong argument, they are literally the same molecule

my ferritin moved before the scale did and i nearly missed it

Respectfully this is a sample of one presented as a finding.

Right, and the corollary is that stopping escalation does not reset your tolerance, it just pauses the clock.

Did you test the vial you received or are we going off the vendor COA?

pens are overpriced, research vials are research grade, same molecule different price

nope, 0.25 counts, it is just not the dose most people stay on
