reading Wegovy threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly
Posting this because I searched for it and got nothing useful.
Setup: 0.25mg, week 64, constipation present but not ruining anything. I changed exactly one variable — Ozempic — and tracked it for 16 weeks.
Result: a difference, but a small one, and well inside what I would call noise if someone else posted it. So I am putting it here rather than presenting it as a finding. If two or three other people have done the same thing we might actually learn something.
Not medical advice, obviously. This is one person with a spreadsheet.
best — the order this archive was captured in
Maintenance for 11 months now. Weight moves within about 3kg and the dose is a quarter of what it peaked at.
My early fullness was worst at 2.5mg and better at 2.4mg, which makes no sense and I have stopped trying to explain it.
week 96 on the pen, 29kg down, this is the answer
Yeah, 19 weeks on 5mg, same pattern, same timing.
My early fullness was worst at 2.5mg and better at 2.4mg, which makes no sense and I have stopped trying to explain it.
Disagree on that part. 99.0% and 98.9% on the same vial is normal.
Right, and the corollary is that stopping escalation does not reset your tolerance, it just pauses the clock.
Rodent data is rodent data. Dose scaling is not linear and the models tell you what to investigate, not what to expect.
the fatigue passes. i promise. not medical advice.

This matches my experience almost exactly on the Ozempic pens. The titration is the whole point.
stalled at 12.5mg, went up, and regretted it, the stall would have broken anyway

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 72 weeks to accept.
Not to be pedantic but semaglutide and titration are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.
okay but what dose of sema are you on
I did the fast version. 10mg to 0.25mg in 24 weeks. Spent a weekend learning why the schedule exists.
I did the fast version.
Adding to this: titration is doing more work than the comment implies.
the quiet is real. the food noise just stops.
Strongly agree. If it is not working at 0.5mg after 89 weeks, going up is not automatically the answer.
my ferritin moved before the scale did and i nearly missed it
