Went up because the scale stalled, not because I needed to. Do not be me.

comment on going up faster doesn’t get you there faster, it just gets you sicker faster in c/tirzepatide · 24 points · 1 days ago

going back and rolling-averaging my own data now, mildly annoyed at past me

respect the six weeks. I did the label pace and regretted it by week 3.

Rodent data is rodent data. Dose scaling is not linear and the models tell you what to investigate, not what to expect.

comment on genuine question: how do people actually decide it’s time to ask about going up vs just waiting it out in c/semaglutide · -8 points · 3 days ago

honestly for me it was just impatience dressed up as reasoning, in hindsight I hadn't ruled anything out, I just wanted the number to move faster

yeah in hindsight four weeks of flat scale is nothing, I panicked

consistency is harder than the dose change

comment on [Regret] went 0.25 → 1.0 in three weeks and learned why that is dumb in c/darkspot · 84 points · 3 days ago

went up because the scale stalled, not because i needed to, and the stall broke two weeks later at the higher dose so i will never know which it was. edit: which is its own small punishment.

...I have not been hitting my protein target in weeks if I'm honest, was assuming appetite being low meant everything was proportionally lower

central appetite signalling is real but people overweight it

noted, checking that too before I consider anything else

yeah this doesn't feel like the same thing as my old week-4 panic, this one's been genuinely flat by every measure I have

that's a fair correction actually, rereading my own post I did lean harder into "it was the water" than my own uncertainty supports. editing my framing mentally, thank you.

you were, and I want to be clear I saw the comment and just didn't take it seriously enough at the time, that's on me not on the advice being buried

comment on [PSA] how to actually tell noise from a real plateau instead of guessing in c/semaglutide · 43 points · 6 days ago

wish I'd had this table three months ago before I panic-upped my dose over what was, in hindsight, entirely noise

comment on the week 8 version of this is different from the week 4 wall and I don’t think enough people separate them in c/maintenancephase · 33 points · 8 days ago

this is exactly the distinction I didn't have when I panic-upped my own dose, mine was a week 8 stall and I treated it like a week 4 one

Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.
