nausea day 2 post-injection like clockwork, week 14, does it ever stop

Side Effectsbranch of 6 comments

Fourteen months of logging this. Pattern is boringly consistent: injection evening fine, day 1 fine, day 2 rough from about mid-morning to bedtime, day 3 onwards fine. It has got milder over time but it has not gone. Every dose step resets it to about where it was at the start, then it fades over three or four weeks.…

Nineteen months at maintenance. Mine became background and then stopped being noticeable, but the honest answer is that I cannot tell you whether it went away or whether I stopped noticing it. Those feel the same from the inside.

What definitely changed: no dose steps means no resets. Most of what you are describing is escalation, not the drug.

"most of what you are describing is escalation" reframes fourteen months of my own log in one sentence. every reset was a step.

Which fits the mechanism. The GI effects track the change in gastric emptying rather than the absolute level, so a new dose produces a new adaptation period. Once you stop changing the input the system settles.

Day 2 specifically is roughly where the concentration peaks after a subcutaneous dose, which is why the timing is so reproducible for so many people.

and this is why moving to friday evening works. it does not reduce anything, it just moves day 2 onto a saturday.

the thing that actually reduced it for me was stopping at 70% full. not a supplement, not timing, just eating less at once on day 2.

i have tried about nine things and that is the only one that survived contact with my own log. ginger did nothing.

About c/sideeffects

Side-effect experience and management, with a strong bias toward the ones that are common and boring (nausea, constipation, reflux, fatigue, sulphur burps) and a hard line on the ones that are not (severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, jaundice, vision changes). This community is not a substitute for urgent care and the mods will say so bluntly.

  2. Describe your dose, your week number and your titration speed — otherwise nobody can help.
  3. No diagnosing strangers. Share what happened to you.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
