constipation: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1

Management Receipts ×9 Cold Box ×1 Clean Column ×1

Right, the sulphur burps question again, but with numbers this time.

I have 23 data points over 40 weeks. The pattern is consistent enough that I do not think it is chance, and boring enough that nobody is going to screenshot it, which is usually a good sign.

The thing I would flag for anyone new: the effect I am describing showed up at week 82, not week 36. People give up long before the interesting part.

Interested in whether this matches other people's logs or whether I am an outlier.

Every time this gets posted it hits the front page and every time someone has to re-explain it.

Same experience. Week 20 and it simply stopped. I know that is not useful information but it is what happened.

The reflux passes. I kept a log and the timeline was the only useful thing. 15 weeks and it was basically gone.

Titration speed is a side-effect dial far more than an efficacy dial.

Yeah, the fatigue hit on day 4 for me too, not day 1.

Removed a chain here. The rule is one line long and it is not negotiable.

Did the reflux start before or after the dose increase?

Yeah, the the food-noise thing hit on day 24 for me too, not day 1.

Slight fix: the number was 99.0, not 98.9. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

Are you on a pen or research vial? The formulation changes the profile.

early fullness at 10mg is different from 10mg

Not to be pedantic but nausea and constipation are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

Went to A&E convinced it was pancreatitis. Lipase normal. It was gallstones. Get checked, do not post and wait.

About c/sideeffects

Side-effect experience and management, with a strong bias toward the ones that are common and boring (nausea, constipation, reflux, fatigue, sulphur burps) and a hard line on the ones that are not (severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, jaundice, vision changes). This community is not a substitute for urgent care and the mods will say so bluntly.

  1. Severe or escalating abdominal pain is an urgent-care question, not a forum question. We will lock those threads with a pointer to help.
  2. Describe your dose, your week number and your titration speed — otherwise nobody can help.
  3. No diagnosing strangers. Share what happened to you.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
