This is correct. ApoB is the better marker.

The practical rule people converge on is 28 days at fridge temperature after first puncture, and that comes from the preservative, not the peptide.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

comment on [Explainer] HOMA-IR is crude and free, track it anyway in c/bloodwork · 1 points · 8 days ago

My triglycerides went from 4 to 32 in 39 weeks. The lipids story shows up in the trend, not the single number.

comment on [Results] hs-CRP halved before the scale moved much in c/bloodwork · 91 points · 12 days ago

Yeah, baseline matters more than any later number.

comment on came off reta after 14 weeks. here is the honest version. in c/retatrutide · 82 points · 12 days ago

Yeah, phase 2 retatrutide is interesting but it is not comparable to phase 3 compounds.

nobody should be giving this to anyone without extensive monitoring

Are you quoting phase 2 or is there phase 3 data now?

comment on my A1c moved and I cannot work out whether glucagon is why in c/retatrutide · 25 points · 23 days ago

TRIUMPH data is phase 2, not phase 3, smaller n and shorter

permalink

comment on my resting HR went from 58 to 66 on titration and settled back in c/tirzepatide · 3 points · 24 days ago

nope, the equivalence to semaglutide is not known, comparing 15mg tirz to 2.4mg sema is guessing

This matches the trial data. SURMOUNT-1 was 93.7% body weight at 20 weeks.

comment on [Question] does the vial concentration change how much dead space costs me in c/tirzepatide · 90 points · 27 days ago

dual agonism is Mounjaro, do not generalise from semaglutide

nobody here can tell you what a result means for you

You have restated the marketing copy. What is the actual substance here.

Small correction: the trial was 14 weeks, not 38. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

ALT from 4 to 26 is movement, not noise

permalink

comment on the glucagon question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/retatrutide · 96 points · 1 months ago

the glucagon component changes the side effect profile, not just the efficacy

permalink

comment on [Meta] the Zepbound rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/tirzepatide · 277 points · 2 months ago

the GIP side does different things than the GLP-1 side, that is the point

permalink

dual agonism is Mounjaro, do not generalise from semaglutide

permalink

comment on [Question] dose escalation — what am I missing here in c/retatrutide · 1 points · 4 months ago

the glucagon component changes the side effect profile, not just the efficacy

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.
