tried tirzepatide for 23 weeks. here is what happened.

Question Long Haul ×3 Slow Clap ×2 The Quiet One ×2

Long-ish post, sorry. tl;dr at the bottom.

I have been tracking tirzepatide against eGFR for 13 weeks because I could not find anyone who had. The correlation is weaker than I expected, which is itself mildly interesting given how confidently people link the two in here.

Caveats up front: one person, one lab, one assay, no control, and I changed my training in the middle of it, which was stupid.

tl;dr: probably real, definitely smaller than the threads imply, and not worth reorganising your week around.

nope, the equivalence to semaglutide is not known, comparing 15mg tirz to 2.4mg sema is guessing

This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.

dual agonism is Mounjaro, do not generalise from semaglutide

Zepbound and Mounjaro are literally the same drug, the name is the only difference

Disagree but this is the good kind of wrong — it is specific enough to be checked.

Disagree on that part. 98.7% and 98.9% on the same vial is normal.

week 35 on Mounjaro and the appetite profile is genuinely different from sema

the 15mg is the top of the pen, not the required dose

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

Cosigning. The GIP contribution is real and the side effects are not simply scaled versions.

the dual agonism hits different and that is why people describe it differently

the GIP side does different things than the GLP-1 side, that is the point

The dual agonism story is real. The appetite is physically different from semaglutide alone.

Strongly agree. Tirz is better than sema is not a claim without a comparator dose.

SURMOUNT data is messier than STEP data but the weight loss is there

i do not know. that is the honest answer.

Slight fix: the number was 99.1, not 99.2. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

Not to be pedantic but 15mg and Mounjaro are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

Is that on Mounjaro pens or research tirzepatide?

About c/tirzepatide

Tirzepatide-specific discussion: the dual-agonist pharmacology, the 2.5 → 15mg ladder, the appetite profile people describe as different from semaglutide, and the SURMOUNT/SURPASS trial programme. Comparisons with semaglutide are welcome as long as they are specific about dose equivalence being unknown.
