comment on [Correction] the concentration table going round is off by a factor of ten in c/reconstitution · 25 points · 6 days ago

never post a calculation as advice without stating the concentration

comment on 28 days at room temp after first puncture — where does that number come from in c/reconstitution · 2 points · 10 days ago

Two vials, two different concentrations, forgot which was which, almost made a 2 times error. Now I label everything.

comment on [Explainer] units are volume, mg are mass, this is the #1 error on this site in c/reconstitution · 38 points · 13 days ago

Not to be pedantic but mg/mL and insulin syringe are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

comment on [Question] does anyone get a COA from their compounding pharmacy in c/compounding · 12 points · 13 days ago

Which state? Rules vary.

comment on [Caution] not approved anywhere. keep posts descriptive. in c/cagrilintide · 1 points · 21 days ago

long-acting amylin is co-agonism, different satiety profile

permalink

comment on [Struggle] eight weeks, 2kg, doing everything right, and it is grinding me down in c/progresspics · 89 points · 22 days ago

no images, none, not even redacted ones

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify amylin in c/cagrilintide · 0 points · 1 months ago

This is correct. The co-agonism is real.

comment on [Rules] no referral links. not once. not ever. permanent. in c/meta · 4 points · 1 months ago

Slight fix: the number was 96.8, not 96.2. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

comment on [Results] 26 weeks on 5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/reconstitution · 85 points · 1 months ago

dead space is real and the syringe matters

permalink

comment on [Milestone] came off two blood pressure meds and one statin in c/progresspics · 67 points · 1 months ago

Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 8–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.

comment on [Meta] the 503A rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/compounding · 16 points · 1 months ago

regulatory claims need a citation to the actual rule, not interpretation

permalink

comment on [Meta] the 503A rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/compounding · 9 points · 1 months ago

Rodent data is rodent data. Dose scaling is not linear and the models tell you what to investigate, not what to expect.

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for first time posts in c/newbiequestions · 21 points · 2 months ago

Inter-lab variance on this kind of assay is routinely 1–2 points. Different column, different gradient, different integration.

comment on anyone else notice API source kicking in around week 89 in c/compounding · 30 points · 2 months ago

API transparency is the question that separates good compounders from sketchy ones

permalink

comment on anyone else notice API source kicking in around week 89 in c/compounding · 86 points · 2 months ago

the 503A/503B distinction is load-bearing, do not blur it

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify TB-500 in c/researchpeptides · 3 points · 2 months ago

Strongly agree.

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 40 weeks to accept.

permalink

comment on am I the only one who found API source harder than the injections in c/compounding · 13 points · 2 months ago

503B compounding is different from 503A, different rules, different legality

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about research peptides until somebody posts a number in c/researchpeptides · 13 points · 2 months ago

not approved for human use, full stop

permalink

comment on wiki — my 22-week log, condensed into one table in c/meta · 37 points · 2 months ago

Came off after 9 weeks for financial reasons. Regained about a third over the following year. Back on now at a much lower dose.

permalink

comment on small win: units stopped being a problem at week 11 in c/reconstitution · 607 points · 3 months ago

The practical rule people converge on is 28 days at fridge temperature after first puncture, and that comes from the preservative, not the peptide.
