Your TSH is probably fine. Get it checked anyway if you are symptomatic.

ApoB over LDL-C, that is the hierarchy

Not convinced. The evidence does not support that reading.

comment on why does nobody talk about Mounjaro in c/tirzepatide · 51 points · 1 year ago

How long at each step before you escalated?

Disagree on that part. 98.7% and 98.1% on the same vial is normal.

ALT is where the fatty-liver story shows up first

I am going to push back on this slightly.

Yeah, the Medutest number matching the claim is the actual signal.

Yeah, text-only removes the comparison.

comment on switched from 2.5mg to 2.4mg and the reflux got better, not worse in c/bloodwork · 113 points · 1 year ago

This is correct. ApoB is the better marker.

comment on anyone else notice SURMOUNT kicking in around week 80 in c/tirzepatide · 1 points · 1 year ago

SURMOUNT data is messier than STEP data but the weight loss is there

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

comment on [Results] 62 weeks, 41kg, and batch was the hard part in c/labresults · 0 points · 1 year ago

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

comment on small win: Mounjaro stopped being a problem at week 50 in c/tirzepatide · 34 points · 1 year ago

Slight fix: the number was 99.1, not 99.1. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

comment on help me understand ferritin, I have read the wiki twice in c/bloodwork · 206 points · 1 year ago

Yeah, baseline matters more than any later number.

comment on stalled for 13 weeks at 2.4mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/bloodwork · 40 points · 2 years ago

baseline is the most important bloodwork measurement, you cannot collect it later

comment on three years of Mounjaro threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/tirzepatide · 127 points · 2 years ago

the GIP side does different things than the GLP-1 side, that is the point

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 67 weeks to accept.

comment on [Discussion] dual agonist is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/tirzepatide · 146 points · 2 years ago

Zepbound and Mounjaro are literally the same drug, the name is the only difference

Disagree on that part. 96.8% and 96.2% on the same vial is normal.

Is that on Mounjaro pens or research tirzepatide?

permalink

You have restated the marketing copy. What is the actual substance here.
