[Meta] proposal — a flair for eGFR posts

Question Receipts ×1 Well Actually ×2

Been lurking in c/reconstitution for about 21 months and finally have something worth posting.

Short version: week 52, 1.0mg, and baseline labs is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 29 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.

What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 58.

Ferritin tanked from 9 to 33. Small appetite, reduced iron intake, nobody was testing it until I asked.

Baseline ApoB: 98.9. Week 43: 99.1. Same lab, fasted, same time of day. Trend matters.

My triglycerides went from 20 to 16 in 96 weeks. The baseline labs story shows up in the trend, not the single number.

eGFR noise during rapid loss is expected

Removed a chain here. The rule is one line long and it is not negotiable.

Removed a chain here.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

the 6 month eGFR check is the routine

Water content matters more than people think. If a vial is carrying residual moisture, your "10mg" is not 10mg of peptide.

Inter-lab variance on this kind of assay is routinely 1–2 points. Different column, different gradient, different integration.

eGFR noise on rapid loss is real. 17 week noise, 27 week trend. Do not panic at week 15.

This is correct. ApoB is the better marker.

ALT is where the fatty-liver story shows up first

ALT is where the fatty-liver story shows up first

Disagree on that part. 96.8% and 96.2% on the same vial is normal.

baseline is the most important A1c measurement, you cannot collect it later

nobody here can tell you what a result means for you

Strongly agree. ALT is where you catch the liver story early.
