[Explainer] which labs are worth repeating quarterly and which are theatre
Been lurking in c/reconstitution for about 13 months and finally have something worth posting. Short version: week 73, 1.7mg, and baseline labs is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 31 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle. What I actually want…
Removed a chain here. The rule is one line long and it is not negotiable.
Yeah, baseline matters more than any later number.
the 17 month ApoB check is the routine
baseline is the most important A1c measurement, you cannot collect it later
post reference ranges with your numbers, units differ by country and lab
redact identifying details from lab PDFs before posting
A1c moves slowly, quarterly is plenty
ApoB from 2 to 31 is movement, not noise
HOMA-IR is crude but free and useful for tracking
