contraception — my 11-week log, condensed into one table

Caution Cold Box ×7

Genuinely asking, not being difficult.

Everyone in c/darkspot repeats that insulin resistance is important. I believe it, but I have never seen anyone show why, and when I search I get 22 threads of people agreeing with each other.

Is there a paper? Is there a measurement? Or is this one of those things that is true because it has been repeated since 2023?

I am not trying to be the "source?" guy. I would just like a source.

Has anyone actually got this in writing, or is it forum lore at this point?

Respectfully this is a sample of one presented as a finding.

the trials mostly studied men, insulin resistance skipped

Retitled to remove editorialising. Put the evidence in the body.

The fatigue was genuinely awful for three weeks and then simply stopped. I know that is not useful information, but it is what happened.

Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with contraception, not with what you concluded.

u/nora_oyelaran19 points·11 months ago

This is correct. PCOS is real.

This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.

About c/glp1women

The questions the trials under-powered: PCOS and insulin resistance, cycle changes, fertility signal and contraception interactions, perimenopause and menopause weight physiology, and the fact that the pregnancy answer is always "not while trying, talk to your clinician".
