three years of dose stretching threads, summarised so you do not have to read them
Been lurking in c/compounding for about 13 months and finally have something worth posting.
Short version: week 85, 5mg, and dose stretching is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 31 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.
What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 79.
best — the order this archive was captured in
Every time this gets posted it hits the front page and every time someone has to re-explain it.
Regain on a taper is expected. 14% back over 9 weeks, which matches the discontinuation data. Planned for it.
Regain on a taper is expected.
Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 63 weeks to accept.

This is correct. Weight variance is normal at maintenance.
regain is not a moral failing
Tried the lowest-effective approach. 15mg worked for 12 weeks, then cravings returned. 10mg was the actual floor.
Regain on a taper is expected. 6% back over 24 weeks, which matches the discontinuation data. Planned for it.
weight moves within 17kg and that is normal
This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.
