[Discussion] we are measuring discontinuation at the wrong time and calling it noise

Discussion Clean Column ×4 Slow Clap ×3

appetite return. That is the whole post, but I will justify it.

Everything else people worry about in c/glp1eu is downstream of it. Titration speed, reflux, the endless dose arguments — most of it resolves if you sort appetite return out first, and almost nobody does.

I say this having got it wrong for 21 months. My fasting insulin was the thing that eventually made me pay attention, which is a stupid way to learn a lesson that was in the sidebar the whole time.

the people who came off and restarted without shame

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

Strongly agree. The regain is expected.

cite the discontinuation data rather than guessing regain rates

This is correct. Discontinuation data is real.

Every time this gets posted it hits the front page and every time someone has to re-explain it.

Tracking number removed. It identifies both ends of a shipment.

France here. Waited 20 months on a list, gave up, went private, and the total cost was roughly what I expected.

My version of this: I was so worried about the injection that I put it off for eleven days. The injection is the easiest part.

say how long you were on and at what dose before taper

Yeah, regain is not a failure.

The practical rule people converge on is 28 days at fridge temperature after first puncture, and that comes from the preservative, not the peptide.

About c/tapering

Stopping on purpose: dose reduction versus interval stretching, what the discontinuation arms of STEP 1 and SURMOUNT-4 actually showed about regain, appetite return timelines, and the people who came off, regained, and went back on without treating it as a failure.
