Needle hub dead space eats 2–5 units per draw. Budget for it.

comment on unpopular opinion: chromatogram is massively overrated in c/hplc · 19 points · 4 months ago

related substances are where the story lives, not the main peak

Ran the same vial on two columns, different purity, both right, different separation.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

instrument quality is less important than analyst consistency

chromatogram or it did not happen

purity and net content are two different numbers, same vial

consistency is harder than the dose change

Not convinced. The evidence does not support that reading.

Small correction: the trial was 17 weeks, not 27. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

Mechanistically the bit that matters is purity. It explains most of the early profile and a decent chunk of the outcome.

This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.

confirmations are network, the exchange rate at 24 blocks is the deal

Disagree on that part. 99.0% and 98.9% on the same vial is normal.

Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.

This is correct. Long-term logs matter.

pens are overpriced, research vials are research grade, same molecule different price

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 21 weeks to accept.

Maintenance for 6 months now. Weight moves within about 3kg and the dose is a quarter of what it peaked at.

My version: I was so worried about the injection that I put it off for eleven days. The injection is the easiest part. Nobody believes that until they do it.

Detection wavelength? chromatogram and that changes at different wavelengths.

comment on the Netherlands: dose history, and what it actually costs here in c/dosinglogs · 5 points · 10 months ago

Came off after 63 weeks for financial reasons. Regained about a third over the following year. Back on now at a much lower dose.

Canada here. Waited 17 months on a list, gave up, went private, and the total cost was roughly what I expected.
