[Discussion] goal weight is doing more work than we give it credit for

Discussionbranch of 14 comments

Been lurking in c/compounding for about 18 months and finally have something worth posting. Short version: week 81, 2.4mg, and dose stretching is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 27 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle. What I actually want…

Inter-lab variance on this kind of assay is routinely 1–2 points. Different column, different gradient, different integration.

lowest effective dose is dose stretching, find it or stay higher

Tried the lowest-effective approach. 7.5mg worked for 13 weeks, then cravings returned. 2.4mg was the actual floor.

Disagree but this is the good kind of wrong — it is specific enough to be checked.

the lowest dose you can stay on is not the lowest dose that works

Did you stretch the dose interval?

regain is not a moral failing

Slight fix: the number was 97.2, not 97.4. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

About c/maintenancephase

The part nobody posts about: what happens at goal weight. Finding a lowest effective dose, dose-interval stretching, regain risk data, muscle retention, the psychology of not having a number to chase, and staying on indefinitely versus tapering.

c/maintenancephase rules
  1. State how long you have been at maintenance. "Maintenance" at week 30 is not maintenance.
  2. Regain is not a moral failing and posts implying it is get removed.
  3. Dose-stretching experiences welcome; dose-stretching instructions are not.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  8. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  9. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.
