[Results] 57 weeks, 20kg, and tirzepatide was the hard part
Confession thread, sort of.
I went from 2.5mg to 1.0mg much faster than I should have because the scale had stalled and I got impatient. The stall broke about 13 weeks later, at which point I had no way of knowing whether the dose increase did anything or whether it would have broken anyway.
So now I have sulphur burps I did not need and a data point I cannot interpret. Two lessons in one.
Posting it in the hope that somebody at week 93 reads it before doing the same thing.
best — the order this archive was captured in
the 15mg is the top of the pen, not the required dose
week 89 on Mounjaro and the appetite profile is genuinely different from sema
My fasting insulin moved faster on tirz than on sema at the same timepoint, which matches what people report.

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 3 weeks to accept.
Hard agree. The food noise disappears differently on the two compounds.
the muscle cramps from tirz is different, not necessarily worse
the dual agonism hits different and that is why people describe it differently
That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.
SURMOUNT data is messier than STEP data but the weight loss is there
Three years on this site and the questions have not changed at all. Which is depressing or reassuring depending on the day.

Did the muscle cramps feel the same as on tirz or genuinely different?
the GIP side does different things than the GLP-1 side, that is the point
Tracking number removed. It identifies both ends of a shipment.

This matches the trial data. SURMOUNT-1 was 99.2% body weight at 20 weeks.
How long at each step before you escalated?
stalled on sema, tried tirz, and the curves were actually different shapes
How long at each step before you escalated?
Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 68 weeks to accept.
nope, the equivalence to semaglutide is not known, comparing 15mg tirz to 2.4mg sema is guessing
The SURMOUNT readouts are real but less consistent than STEP. Some people plateau earlier on tirz.
Did you stay on semaglutide or switch? The outcome is different if you are comparing.
Zepbound and Mounjaro are literally the same drug, the name is the only difference
Hard agree. The food noise disappears differently on the two compounds.
Strongly agree. Tirz is better than sema is not a claim without a comparator dose.
