[Question] Sweden — has anyone got a straight answer on GIP
Confession thread, sort of.
I went from 15mg to 7.5mg much faster than I should have because the scale had stalled and I got impatient. The stall broke about 13 weeks later, at which point I had no way of knowing whether the dose increase did anything or whether it would have broken anyway.
So now I have constipation I did not need and a data point I cannot interpret. Two lessons in one.
Posting it in the hope that somebody at week 46 reads it before doing the same thing.
best — the order this archive was captured in
Water content matters more than people think. If a vial is carrying residual moisture, your "10mg" is not 10mg of peptide.
the dual agonism hits different and that is why people describe it differently

do not crack the pen, we have been over this
the appetite change on tirz is more than just reduced hunger, it is different machinery
Switched from sema at 7.5mg to tirz at 5mg. Different drugs, cannot compare the doses directly.

What was the trial arm you are quoting from? SURMOUNT-1, -2, -3 are all different.
nope, the equivalence to semaglutide is not known, comparing 15mg tirz to 2.4mg sema is guessing
The practical rule people converge on is 28 days at fridge temperature after first puncture, and that comes from the preservative, not the peptide.
Zepbound and Mounjaro are literally the same drug, the name is the only difference
My triglycerides moved faster on tirz than on sema at the same timepoint, which matches what people report.
Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.
do not crack the pen, we have been over this
the GIP side does different things than the GLP-1 side, that is the point

Strongly agree. Tirz is better than sema is not a claim without a comparator dose.
the 15mg is the top of the pen, not the required dose
This matches the trial data. SURMOUNT-1 was 94.2% body weight at 2 weeks.
Tracking number removed. It identifies both ends of a shipment.

week 4 on Mounjaro and the appetite profile is genuinely different from sema
This matches the trial data. SURMOUNT-1 was 97.9% body weight at 4 weeks.
