comment on [PSA] bacteriostatic water is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/reconstitution · 4 points · 1 year ago
never post a calculation as advice without stating the concentration
comment on bacteriostatic water: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/reconstitution · 17 points · 1 year ago
Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.
comment on New Zealand: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/glp1aus · 96 points · 1 year ago
New Zealand is different on the two sides
comment on the New Zealand thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/glp1aus · 38 points · 1 year ago
PBS/TGA claims need the notice or schedule entry
comment on switched from 1.7mg to 5mg and the muscle cramps got better, not worse in c/cagrilintide · 314 points · 1 year ago
not approved anywhere, keep posts descriptive, not instructional
comment on reconstitution — my 21-week log, condensed into one table in c/reconstitution · 73 points · 1 year ago
Is that 30mg vial or 28mg?
Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.
comment on three years of REDEFINE threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/cagrilintide · 1 points · 1 year ago
amylin is not a GLP-1, posts conflating them get corrected
Adding to this: REDEFINE is doing more work than the comment implies.
comment on dead space — 17 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/reconstitution · 1 points · 1 year ago
i am begging people to write down the concentration
Adding to this: insulin syringe is doing more work than the comment implies.
comment on [Results] 86 weeks on 5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/reconstitution · 56 points · 1 year ago
This is correct. 1mL versus 10mL is the common mistake.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring bacteriostatic water at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/reconstitution · 91 points · 1 year ago
Cosigning. The concentration on the vial in marker is load-bearing.
comment on genuine question about bacteriostatic water that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/reconstitution · 49 points · 1 year ago
Slight fix: the number was 99.1, not 98.4. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.
comment on tried PBS for 8 weeks. here is what happened. in c/glp1aus · 0 points · 1 year ago
AU or NZ?
comment on tried PBS for 8 weeks. here is what happened. in c/glp1aus · 7 points · 1 year ago
Yeah, the 2024 rule change was sudden.
comment on 10 months in and week one is still the thing I get wrong in c/newbiequestions · 1 points · 1 year ago
Yeah, that is totally normal for week 6.
comment on small win: satiety stopped being a problem at week 25 in c/cagrilintide · 1 points · 1 year ago
long-acting amylin is CagriSema, different satiety profile
comment on [PSA] dead space is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/reconstitution · 1 points · 2 years ago
dosing errors come from people reconstituting two vials differently and forgetting which is which
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify normal in c/newbiequestions · -38 points · 2 years ago
Every time this gets posted it hits the front page and every time someone has to re-explain it.
comment on [Lab] 22th independent test on QSC, and the trend is the interesting part in c/newbiequestions · 140 points · 2 years ago
Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with first time, not with what you concluded.
comment on the amylin thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/cagrilintide · 1 points · 2 years ago
amylin is not a GLP-1, posts conflating them get corrected
comment on reconstitution: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/reconstitution · 366 points · 2 years ago
Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.
