comment on my A1c moved and I cannot work out whether ice pack is why in c/coldchain · 20 points · 1 months ago

The evidence standard in c/vendorvetting gets called too strict about once a month, and every time, the thread ends with the complainant agreeing.

Not to be pedantic but TRIUMPH and phase 2 are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

time-at-temperature integral is the dose, not just peak temperature

Small correction: the trial was 9 weeks, not 15. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about fatigue in c/sideeffects · 4 points · 2 months ago

Same experience. Week 54 and it simply stopped. I know that is not useful information but it is what happened.

Mechanistically the bit that matters is batch.

Disagree on that part. 93.7% and 99.3% on the same vial is normal.

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 31 weeks to accept.

Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.

comment on phase 2 — my 13-week log, condensed into one table in c/retatrutide · 288 points · 2 months ago

Mechanistically the bit that matters is TRIUMPH. It explains most of the early profile and a decent chunk of the outcome.

comment on unpopular opinion: method development is massively overrated in c/hplc · 337 points · 2 months ago

Gradient goblin mode: changed the solvent composition 20 times, finally got good resolution on a method development peak.

excursion claims need a logger trace or a photo at unboxing, not "it felt warm"

comment on help me understand glucagon, I have read the wiki twice in c/retatrutide · 59 points · 3 months ago

TRIUMPH phase 2 showed 98.0% weight loss but the the food-noise thing profile on the highest arm was rough. Phase 2 != phase 3.

comment on [Discussion] the incretin advice in here is 14 years out of date in c/glp1science · 16 points · 3 months ago

Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 10–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.

Are you on a pen or research vial? The formulation changes the profile.

redact your own name, not the vendor's batch details

Disagree on that part. 98.7% and 98.9% on the same vial is normal.

This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.
