comment on [PSA] write the concentration on the vial. that is the whole post. in c/semaglutide · 122 points · 8 months ago

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

never post a calculation as advice without stating the concentration

That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.

comment on bacteriostatic water vs mg/mL — genuinely asking which matters more in c/reconstitution · 1 points · 9 months ago

This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.

comment on someone explain small molecule to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/orforglipron · 111 points · 9 months ago

Stalled for 23 weeks, changed nothing, and it started moving again on week 26.

comment on small win: titration stopped being a problem at week 41 in c/semaglutide · 0 points · 10 months ago

How long were you at 15mg before you moved up?

Right, and the corollary is that stopping escalation does not reset your tolerance, it just pauses the clock.

comment on switched from 5mg to 12.5mg and the the food-noise thing got better, not worse in c/progresspics · 3 points · 11 months ago

Yeah, text-only removes the comparison.

Adding to this: milestone is doing more work than the comment implies.

comment on [Discussion] the small molecule advice in here is 19 years out of date in c/orforglipron · 4 points · 11 months ago

Titration speed is a side-effect dial far more than an efficacy dial.

This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.

Did you test the vial you received or are we going off the vendor COA?

Ozempic versus Wegovy versus research grade is the wrong argument, they are literally the same molecule

the quiet is real. the food noise just stops.

comment on week 61 check-in — 7kg down, reflux manageable, one thing confusing me in c/reconstitution · 63 points · 1 year ago

Water content matters more than people think. If a vial is carrying residual moisture, your "10mg" is not 10mg of peptide.

comment on my hs-CRP moved and I cannot work out whether batch is why in c/labresults · 472 points · 1 year ago

reship and retest is the honest way to handle a low result

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify food noise in c/semaglutide · 7 points · 1 year ago

Hard agree. Week 39 me needed this. Week 82 me is nodding smugly.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] weekly dosing is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/semaglutide · 26 points · 1 year ago

Ozempic versus Wegovy versus research grade is the wrong argument, they are literally the same molecule

permalink

comment on anyone else notice units kicking in around week 20 in c/reconstitution · 13 points · 1 year ago

This is correct. 2mL versus 8mL is the common mistake.
