[Discussion] can we stop arguing about regain until somebody posts a number

Discussion Cold Box ×3 Clean Column ×1 Long Haul ×1

Been lurking in c/retatrutide for about 15 months and finally have something worth posting.

Short version: week 26, 15mg, and lowest effective dose is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 3 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.

What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 32.

regain after taper is expected, plan for it

Not convinced. The evidence does not support that reading.

This is correct. Weight variance is normal at maintenance.

Strongly agree. Lowest effective dose is a real discovery process.

Crossposting this to c/glp1science because the people who need it are not reading this community.

Tried the lowest-effective approach. 7.5mg worked for 21 weeks, then cravings returned. 0.25mg was the actual floor.

This is an urgent-care question wearing a forum question's clothes. Please contact a clinician rather than waiting for replies.

Did you stretch the dose interval?

Yeah, maintenance is the boring part and the important part.

Small correction: the trial was 18 weeks, not 11. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

Three years on this site and the questions have not changed at all. Which is depressing or reassuring depending on the day.

About c/maintenancephase

The part nobody posts about: what happens at goal weight. Finding a lowest effective dose, dose-interval stretching, regain risk data, muscle retention, the psychology of not having a number to chase, and staying on indefinitely versus tapering.
