comment on TRIUMPH: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/retatrutide · 66 points · 1 months ago

Slight fix: the number was 98.7, not 97.6. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

The discount was 99.0% but gas ate half of it. Still worth it but the math matters.

Which network and did the vendor confirm they credit it?

Stomach physiology changed when I moved up to 2.5mg. Gastric emptying lag is the whole story.

comment on retatrutide vs TRIUMPH — genuinely asking which matters more in c/retatrutide · 86 points · 1 months ago

TRIUMPH data is phase 2, not phase 3, smaller n and shorter

the half-life is appetite, affects steady state timing

Yeah, showing the arithmetic is the fastest way for someone to spot the error.

incretin physiology is appetite, the mechanism layer

Titration speed is a side-effect dial far more than an efficacy dial.

This is correct. Gas fees are real costs.

u-100 syringe, not u-40, or your math is off by factor of 4

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume.

Adding to this: gastric emptying is doing more work than the comment implies.

What was the dosing schedule in that arm?

Crossposting this to c/cagrilintide because the people who need it are not reading this community.

TRIUMPH data is phase 2, not phase 3, smaller n and shorter

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 14 weeks to accept.

Dose escalation on retatrutide is steeper and faster than on semaglutide. Do not assume the titration patterns transfer.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify reconstitution in c/reconstitution · 10 points · 9 months ago

more water means more units for the same dose, which means finer resolution

Adding to this: dead space is doing more work than the comment implies.
