regain — my 8-week log, condensed into one table

Meta Receipts ×3 Clean Column ×1

I have had 12 orders now and I keep a table, so here is the honest summary rather than a vibe.

Material has been consistent. Communication has not. Shipping has varied by about 10 days on nominally the same lane, which matters more in summer than in February.

The independent number came back 99.0% against a claimed 99.1%, which I read as agreement rather than a discrepancy — inter-lab variance on this assay is a point or two either way and treating one lab as ground truth is how people end up in pointless arguments with vendors.

Batch number is in the comments. Ask if you want the method.

Adding to this: dose stretching is doing more work than the comment implies.

Yeah, maintenance is the boring part and the important part.

Slight fix: the number was 96.8, not 94.2. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

Regain on a taper is expected. 15% back over 19 weeks, which matches the discontinuation data. Planned for it.

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

Weight variance within what range?

the lowest dose you can stay on is not the lowest dose that works

Small correction: the trial was 15 weeks, not 10. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

the lowest dose you can stay on is not the lowest dose that works

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

How long at maintenance?

replysharereportpermalink
u/kaplan_meier_kim161 points·2 years ago

Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with long term, not with what you concluded.

replysharereportpermalink
u/transit_variance86 points·2 years ago

Strongly agree. Lowest effective dose is a real discovery process.

replysharereportpermalink
u/mass_spec_maggieMS47 points·2 years ago

This is correct. Weight variance is normal at maintenance.

What dose are you on?

replysharereportpermalink
u/kaplan_meier_kimOP115 points·2 years ago

Tried the lowest-effective approach. 1.0mg worked for 10 weeks, then cravings returned. 0.25mg was the actual floor.

About c/maintenancephase

The part nobody posts about: what happens at goal weight. Finding a lowest effective dose, dose-interval stretching, regain risk data, muscle retention, the psychology of not having a number to chase, and staying on indefinitely versus tapering.
