my ALT moved and I cannot work out whether long term is why

Regain Well Actually ×6 Long Haul ×2

Something I noticed reading old threads that I have not seen said out loud.

The advice on dose stretching in this community changed substantially around the start of last year, and nobody went back and updated the older posts. So depending on which thread the search engine hands you, you get two contradictory answers with the same confidence.

I have listed what I think the current consensus is below. Correct me — that is the point of posting it.

regain is not a moral failing

Mechanistically the bit that matters is regain. It explains most of the early profile and a decent chunk of the outcome.

Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 13–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.

Weight variance within what range?

the 10mg dose works fine for 90 weeks of the month

This is correct. Weight variance is normal at maintenance.

the plateau is where the learning happens

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

About c/maintenancephase

The part nobody posts about: what happens at goal weight. Finding a lowest effective dose, dose-interval stretching, regain risk data, muscle retention, the psychology of not having a number to chase, and staying on indefinitely versus tapering.

c/maintenancephase rules
  1. State how long you have been at maintenance. "Maintenance" at week 30 is not maintenance.
  2. Regain is not a moral failing and posts implying it is get removed.
  3. Dose-stretching experiences welcome; dose-stretching instructions are not.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  8. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  9. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.
