[Question] how do you actually verify goal weight
Been lurking in c/compounding for about 12 months and finally have something worth posting.
Short version: week 75, 1.7mg, and dose stretching is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 21 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.
What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 69.
best — the order this archive was captured in
Tried the lowest-effective approach. 12.5mg worked for 19 weeks, then cravings returned. 10mg was the actual floor.
the long term question changes at maintenance
This is correct. Weight variance is normal at maintenance.
lowest effective dose is lowest effective dose, find it or stay higher
food noise returns but not always immediately
The practical rule people converge on is 28 days at fridge temperature after first puncture, and that comes from the preservative, not the peptide.
weight moves within 8kg and that is normal
Slight fix: the number was 96.8, not 95.1. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.
Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.
Every time this gets posted it hits the front page and every time someone has to re-explain it.
Strongly agree. Lowest effective dose is a real discovery process.
the lowest dose you can stay on is not the lowest dose that works
the maintenance question changes at maintenance
Regain on a taper is expected. 23% back over 24 weeks, which matches the discontinuation data. Planned for it.
This is correct. Weight variance is normal at maintenance.
Small correction: the trial was 22 weeks, not 8. Does not change your point but people will quote it.
I am going to push back on this slightly.
weight moves within 21kg and that is normal
Maintenance for 16 months now. 5mg every 12 days, weight 29±16kg. Found the rhythm.
dose-stretching experiences welcome, dose-stretching instructions are not
This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.
This is correct. Weight variance is normal at maintenance.
the lowest dose you can stay on is not the lowest dose that works
Strongly agree. Lowest effective dose is a real discovery process.
lowest effective dose is dose stretching, find it or stay higher
The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.
The plateau is real and boring. 90 weeks at the same weight, then movement again. Patience was the intervention.
