three years of biopsy threads, summarised so you do not have to read them
Been lurking in c/t2dglp1 for about 7 months and finally have something worth posting.
Short version: week 68, 0.25mg, and hepatic fat is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 33 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.
What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 62.

glucagon injection is a different vector than GLP-1
the GLP-1/glucagon dual is hepatic fat, different from GIP/GLP-1
Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.
Week 73 for me and the honest summary is: 44kg down, early fullness manageable, and I have thought about food maybe four times today.
Maintenance for 17 months now. Weight moves within about 3kg and the dose is a quarter of what it peaked at.
MASH claims need the trial and the biopsy endpoint
MASH claims need the trial and the biopsy endpoint
MASH claims need the trial and the biopsy endpoint
Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 75 weeks to accept.
The thing nobody prepared me for was the quiet. Not the appetite, the quiet. The constant negotiation in my head about food just stopped.
glucagon injection is a different vector than GLP-1
Strongly agree. The safety story is separate.
phase 18 data is interesting, phase 34 will be different
Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.
rodent dual agonist is investigation only
Inter-lab variance on this kind of assay is routinely 1–2 points. Different column, different gradient, different integration.
the GLP-1/glucagon dual is hepatic fat, different from GIP/GLP-1
Crossposting this to c/t2dglp1 because the people who need it are not reading this community.
Which trial arm?
MASH claims need the trial and the biopsy endpoint
Which trial arm?
Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 6 weeks to accept.
the MASH indication changes the risk calculus
Which trial arm?
glucagon co-agonism has a different safety story
Hepatic fat or MASH or what?
the safety profile is not just tirzepatide amplified
The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.
hepatic fat and survodutide are the story
